About Claro tools

What we offer, who reviews the content, and how these tools relate to medical care.

  • What free mental health tools does Claro offer?

Claro offers four free, clinician-reviewed tools: a hyperbolic antidepressant tapering calculator, a withdrawal symptom checker (“Is this normal?”), a crisis helpline finder searchable by country, and an ask-a-psychiatrist form for educational tapering questions.

  • Are Claro tools medical advice?

No. All Claro tools are educational resources reviewed by consultant psychiatrists. They help you understand tapering concepts and find support — but every medication decision must be made with a qualified prescriber.

  • Who reviews Claro tool content?

Tool content is medically reviewed by Claro clinical advisors — consultant psychiatrists trained at institutions including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, home of the Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines.

  • Do I need an account to use the tools?

No. The taper calculator, symptom checker, helpline finder, and ask-psychiatrist form are free to use without signing up. Optional email is only requested when you choose to receive a full taper protocol by email.
