Who writes our guides
WithClaro guides are written by our editorial team. We write in plain language for people taking or coming off antidepressants, about the weeks between appointments.
Some articles start as a draft prepared with the help of AI tools, built from the research we collect for that topic. A person on our team edits and checks every draft before it is published.
Medical review
Before an article on our blog goes live, a consultant psychiatrist checks its clinical content for accuracy. Reviews are led by Dr. Jason Tan, and each reviewed article names its reviewer.
Sources
We base clinical statements on peer-reviewed research, clinical guidelines such as NICE NG222 and the Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines, and official drug labels. Our blog articles list the sources they rely on.
Some articles also describe what people report about their own experience, for example in online communities. The text says when it describes personal experience, and we never present it as clinical evidence.
Independence
WithClaro is operated by Pink Elephant, Unipessoal Lda. Articles may point to the WithClaro app where it can help. No pharmaceutical company pays for, writes or reviews our content.
Updates and corrections
We record when each article was published and who reviewed it, and we revisit articles when guidelines or evidence change.
If you find a mistake, email [email protected]. We check every report and correct errors we confirm.
Not medical advice
Our guides explain; they do not diagnose or treat. Always make decisions about your medication together with your prescriber.
