Dr. Jason Tan is a UK-based consultant psychiatrist with over a decade of clinical practice across Malaysia, the Republic of Ireland and the UK. Dr. Tan has published peer-reviewed research on community mental-health team effectiveness, family functioning and inpatient admission, and metabolic care for patients on long-term psychotropic medication; his work was recognised with the John Dunne Medal for excellence and originality in psychiatric research (Irish Journal of Psychological Medicine, 2019) and the RCPsych London Division Team of the Year award (2022). He advises Claro on the clinical accuracy of the tapering calculator, the framing of withdrawal vs. relapse, and the appropriate use of liquid and compounded formulations.
