Rachel Sullivan

Specialist Occupational Therapist

Rachel Sullivan is a Specialist Occupational Therapist with extensive experience of multi-disciplinary team management and direct therapy provision for people with learning disabilities, neurodivergence, mental health and physical health needs. She has worked with Swansea Bay University Health Board since 2000, providing specialist OT across Community Learning Disability Health Teams in Neath Port Talbot and Cwm Taf. Her responsibilities include specialist clinical provision, multi-disciplinary referral management, service development and clinical audit, and case coordination for people with learning disabilities. She previously served as Health Team Manager for the Neath Community Learning Disability Team (2010–2016), embedding new team structures and improving clinical effectiveness, and contributed to the development of Swansea Bay’s Intensive Support Team model (2016–2018). Earlier roles include clinical audit facilitation within NHS primary care, mental health and learning disability services, including secondment to the Royal College of Psychiatrists College Research Unit. She advises Claro on how daily routines, function, and structured self-monitoring show up in real life — especially for people whose needs do not fit a one-size-fits-all path.
